What are creosote sweeping logs, and can I use them?
Creosote sweeping logs (CSLs) are specially formulated fire logs that release chemical additives when burned and are designed to help break down and loosen creosote deposits. The chemicals in a sweeping log can loosen creosote, but that loosened debris still remains in your chimney until it is physically removed by a certified professional.
What type of wood should I burn in my fireplace?
